What does food have to do with it?

What do you do when you have a nagging pain, or feel out-of-sorts but can't really say why? You feel it's too little to go to the doctor with, but it's too much to just ignore. Who do you turn to when you don't know what to do?
You may be interested to know that food sensitivities can cause or contribute to a number of nagging occurrences all the way to some really nasty feelings. It should be noted that sensitivities are not the same as food allergies which trigger an immune response that can lead to serious hospital time or even death. Sensitivities may be experienced as headaches, constipation, diarrhea, migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, joint aches and pains or even generalized aches and pains.
Sensitivities can also contribute to weight loss or gain, depression, insomnia, asthma, anxiety, ADHD, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, eczema or PMS. They may include some sneezing, coughing, or mild itching taking place at a later time giving us cause to wonder where it is coming from.
And as you can see, these symptoms are shared with a number of other ailments, making it difficult to understand what is going wrong. Whatever the reaction the body puts on, the partially digested materials are taking a toll on our immune system which can then cause dis-ease in various other parts of the body.
The real difficulty here is determining an accurate diagnosis. A first step in discovering the role of food sensitivities comes from a simple blood test. This test will expose the foods you are not tolerating real well. Then you need to do an elimination diet, taking out those foods to see if your symptoms go away or lessen. After four to six weeks these foods can be reintroduce one at a time while monitoring your symptoms for what reactions your body may produce.
Finding an accurate diagnosis is always the key to finding a proper treatment. In time you may be on the way to a life of fewer problems. If this path doesn't solve you situation, you may need to seek other directions, but you will at least have explore and treated or eliminated this one.
